Additional light Black X-Slim S250 Gen2, Purelux

The Purelux Black X-Slim S250 Gen2 is part of the manufacturer’s updated Black X-Slim range of additional lights, bringing top quality at an affordable price. The panel has received both an external and internal facelift: the revised S250 Gen2 version has been given a two-colour parking light (orange and white) and two different power modes, as well as an upgraded light pattern. The two different power modes allow the panel to switch between a more moderate power mode for road use and a more powerful PowerBoost® mode for off-road use, thanks to a unique selection integrated into the user interface (see below). Already with the road-legal power mode, the S250 Gen2 offers significantly more light output than the previous model, and with the PowerBoost® mode enabled, the measured light output of the panel rises to up to 2906 lumens with a measured range of up to an impressive 370 meters @ 1 lux for a panel of this size.

Note! The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly noticeable in use – PowerBoost® mode is significantly more efficient and should not be used when driving in normal road traffic, only off-road.

The S250 Gen2’s headlamp combines exactly the elements you need on a winding, dark road: a clear, long-range main beam in the centre of the beam, a bright, long-range main beam, and a wide beam extending laterally from both sides to illuminate the road from side to side, starting at the front. The beam has been flattened with revised reflectors to prevent light being lost to the front of the bow or into the treetops. The panel has a colour temperature of 5700 kelvin. Thanks to its small size, the S250 Gen2 is currently being used in flush-mounted or concealed installations behind a mask, for example. It is also particularly suitable for situations where two smaller panels are to be mounted in parallel using a traditional shield mounting.

Installation is easy using the DT-2 connector provided on the light’s power cord, and the included width-adjustable sub-legs and end feet provide a wide range of mounting options. The wide operating voltage range (9-32V) allows installation on both 12V and 24V systems. The luminaire is radio interference immunity according to ECE R10 standard. Two-year (24 months) warranty!
